Keshavara prefer to find their coordinates in the shimmer rather than on the map: somewhere between Cologne and South India, between Kraut pop, psychedelic soundtracks, and an adventurous patois of English, German, Tamil, and gibberish. On "Moondrām Sevi," the fourth album by the band around German-Indian musician Keshav Purushotham with Niklas Schneider, Benedikt Filleböck, and Christopher Martin, this in-between realm opens up even further. The title, Tamil for 'third ear,' leads to a place where memory, fantasy, and a few misunderstood film scenes begin to blur.
