Health Conference - The First 1000 Days
From conception through the child’s second birthday, the first 1,000 days are considered a key period during which the environment can positively or negatively influence the development of their health capital. In this context, we will also discuss the perinatal journey as well as educational and parenting practices, through dynamic presentations by Pascaline Morel Staszak and Savinie Latrée. We will also attempt to answer the following question: “Can a child’s health capital be influenced even before birth?” This conference, organized by HAG Luxembourg, will be hosted by Guy Brandenbourger and will bring together several renowned speakers: Professor Laurent Storme, head of the neonatology department at Lille University Hospital; Pascaline Morel Staszak, coordinating midwife of the 1000 Days for Health Hospital-University Federation at Lille University Hospital; Savinie Latrée, dietitian and project manager at Lille University Hospital; Dr. Akkuzu, a general practitioner specializing in the microbiome, women’s health and longevity, practicing in Dudelange. Keywords: Environment and health during the first 1,000 days, window of vulnerability, child and adult health, parent-baby bond, attachment, parenting skills, close-contact mothering and fathering, prevention of postpartum depression.
