- Workshop
Have you ever wanted to learn how to draw faces but didn’t know where to start? In this relaxed, beginner-friendly workshop, we’ll explore the basics of portrait drawing and discover how artists use simple proportions and shapes to create convincing portraits. Working from magazine references or with one another, we’ll focus on the traditional front-facing portrait and learn how the features relate to each other. This workshop is not about perfection, but about developing observational skills and understanding the underlying structure of the face. Suitable for complete beginners as well as those wishing to refresh their drawing skills. For those who would like to explore portraiture in greater depth, a longer portrait course will be offered later in the year.
