Lena Neudauer, violin and conductor. What does the Classical period stand for? Undeniably, a taste for rationality and respect for the laws of nature. In the 18th century, the Enlightenment spread across Europe with a philosophy nourished by knowledge of science and history. In the arts, classical artists abandoned gods and fantastical creatures in favour of narrative and melodic simplicity. This musical programme brings together works by Vanhal, Michael Haydn, Tatsiana Zelianko and Mozart: Symphony in G minor B.G. 1, Violin Concerto in A major MH 207, Madrigaloscopie (premiere, commissioned by the Ministry of Culture), and Symphony No. 29 in A major KV201.
