Histofest 2026: The (un)making of heroes

Show & CultureShow & CultureAfter demonstrating, with the 2025 edition of HISTOFEST. History on Full Blast, that history can flourish in a shopping centre, we are going even further this year. As the title suggests, this year’s theme is HEROES. What makes a hero? How has this notion evolved over time: who was considered a hero in the past, and who is a hero today? Is there a lasting historical greatness, or is heroism ultimately something that goes beyond illustrations and pedestals? Do we need (new) heroes in Europe today? If so, who are they and why? For the 2026 edition, we are joining forces with the European Parliament Liaison Office (EPLO) Luxembourg.
