Serious TopicsSerious TopicsThe municipality of Verny is taking part in Jour de la nuit, an evening raising awareness of the effects of light pollution on nocturnal ecosystems, the landscape, the starry sky and health. With the support of the Société d’Astronomie de Metz - M57, the event includes a lecture, “Journey to the Far Reaches of the Universe”, as well as observations of the sky, the Moon, Saturn, Mars, star clusters, nebulae and galaxies, weather permitting. In the event of overcast skies, indoor activities will be offered focusing on the solar system, water on Earth, gravity, the seasons and the Moon.
Good to know
Free and open to all ages. The activities will take place regardless of the weather, with an adapted programme in case of overcast skies.
