The Bob Degen Trio brings together the great jazz tradition with the freedom and openness of contemporary improvisation. At the heart of the trio is American pianist and composer Bob Degen, active on both sides of the Atlantic since the 1960s. With Markus Schieferdecker on double bass and Peter Perfido on drums, he forms a trio shaped by many years of musical collaboration. The repertoire mainly consists of Degen’s original compositions, combining harmonic richness with refined melodies. Tradition and spontaneous improvisation meet naturally.
