As part of Screenings for the Planet, Natalia Koniarz’s documentary “Silver” takes viewers into the Cerro Rico mine in Potosí, Bolivia, where silver has been extracted for centuries at a devastating human cost. The film follows a boy, a woman and an elderly miner in this underground world, connecting their stories to the human cost of raw materials and the contemporary face of colonialism. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with director Natalia Koniarz.
