Special screening: “Too Hot – The Climate Senior Women Against Switzerland”
- cine
- projection
What if female citizens succeeded in having their own country convicted for its inaction on climate change? That is the bold gamble of the Swiss Senior Women for Climate Protection. In April 2024, after years of campaigning, these women achieved a historic victory before the European Court of Human Rights. Discover their story in this compelling documentary, told from the inside, combining legal action, emotional moments and touches of humour. The screening, organised by Greenpeace Luxembourg and Seniors for Climate Luxembourg, will be followed by a public discussion with Nadine Maisch, Deputy Permanent Representative of Luxembourg to the Council of Europe, as well as Rita Schirmer-Braun and Rosmarie Wydler-Wälti, members of the Swiss Senior Women for Climate Protection. An evening to discover a struggle that has made history in climate justice and discuss what it could inspire in Luxembourg!
