From 23 to 27 September, BIO-Woch returns to Luxembourg for its 4th edition. Five days to discover the people who keep organic farming alive every day, open the doors of farms, taste, cook, learn and perhaps look at your shopping basket differently 🧺🥬🐔
SO WHAT EXACTLY IS BIO-WOCH?
We’re familiar with the little “BIO” logo on packaging, and we sometimes have our go-to spots at the supermarket or at the local farm… but do we really know what it means? That’s precisely one of the questions BIO-Woch - organized by the Vereenegung fir Biolandwirtschaft Lëtzebuerg a.s.b.l. (also known as Biovereenegung), with support from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Viticulture. That’s quite a lineup!
From September 23 to 27, all of Luxembourg will go organic 🌾 The idea? To create a major gathering around Luxembourg’s organic sector and help the public better understand what’s behind organic products: how they’re produced, where they come from, what their benefits are, and what sets them apart from products that are simply regional or seasonal?
Organic farming actually adheres to specific, strictly monitored standards, including certifications such as Bio LËTZEBUERG. BIO-Woch is therefore also a great opportunity to better understand these certifications and the commitments behind them.
And to share this story, the 2026 campaign features eight organic ambassadors. These are women and men who produce, shop for, cook with, and bring organic living to life every day. The slogan for this fourth edition, “Dem BIO-Bauer säi ganze Stolz,” puts people at the heart of the matter: behind every product, there’s a story, expertise, and, above all, someone who’s committed 👩🏻🌾
