Ibrahim Maalouf is one of the most popular instrumentalists in the world. Presented as a "living jazz legend" by Jon Batiste on CBS and described as a "virtuoso" by the New York Times, he has been nominated twice for the Grammy Awards (2023, 2024) and fills legendary venues worldwide, including the Accor Arena three times. A musician, composer and producer, he has released over twenty albums and composed many film scores, earning awards like the César. An eclectic artist, he has collaborated with Sting, Angélique Kidjo, Kronos Quartet, Matthieu Chédid, Wynton Marsalis, A$AP Rocky, J Balvin, De La Soul or Marcus Miller. His album Queen of Sheba, composed and produced for Angélique Kidjo, was praised by the American press as one of the highlights of the year. An innovator and activist, he published Petite Philosophie de l’improvisation, founded the festival m’IMPROvise and created the TOMA trumpet, which allows quarter-tones. After the explosion at the port of Beirut, he organized a historic televised event, raising over 2 million euros for victims. Honored by France, Lebanon and UNESCO, Ibrahim Maalouf continues to push the boundaries of musical creation.
