As part of the Echter’Classic Festival, saxophonist Andreas Mader presents his current project "IN MOTION" and celebrates the release of the eponymous CD. Surrounded by twelve musicians, he offers a unique concert experience where chamber music blends with staging, movement, and video. The program is based on a constant musical dialogue: soloist roles circulate among the performers and the saxophone blends into a collective dynamic. The guiding thread is movement, explored through a variety of aesthetics: the energy of flamenco in Amor Brujo by Manuel de Falla, the rhythmic tension of tango by Astor Piazzolla, and the undulating motifs of Its Motion Keeps by Caroline Shaw. The centerpiece of the concert, Andreas Mader's composition Alter Ego, combines music and video performance, showing visual doubles of the musicians on stage. "IN MOTION" creates a space where classical music is reinvented in a resolutely contemporary language.
