After Hors la loi (20/21) and Pour autrui (22/23), French author and director Pauline Bureau returns to the Grand Théâtre with Neige, a show that blends elements of both fairy tales and teen movies. Neige is a fourteen-year-old girl eager to grow up. Her mother is surprised to be growing older. When Neige suddenly goes missing in the forest, there is no other choice but to search for her. No one will leave the woods as they entered. In this modern tale, mother and daughter chase each other through time, the prince is not so charming, and the hunter is gentler than the stories tell. Every character reflects an age, a moment in life. Pauline Bureau tells the story inspired by motifs from Snow White in a world of magic mirrors and a forest that is timeless. Overflowing with fantasy, fears, and secret desires, this show represents our world and intimately addresses universal questions, bringing to life extraordinary characters beyond our imagination.
