Beauty in everyday life and a return to traditional craftsmanship were intended to help create a better world. This also applies to Luxembourg, where the era of Art Nouveau coincided with important events in the art scene, such as the founding of an art association in 1893 or the establishment of the State École d’Artisans in 1896, where artists and craftsmen were trained together. Through innovative Art Nouveau works, mainly in the field of applied arts, never-before-seen design drawings, and historical photographs, this exhibition takes an in-depth look at the fascinating Art Nouveau period in the Grand Duchy.
