Every Saturday, you can participate in the guided tour of the permanent exhibition "A Walk through Art. European Drawings and Sculptures from the 17th to the 19th Centuries." The permanent exhibition at the Villa Vauban takes the visitor on a journey through three centuries of artistic creation: from the 17th century Netherlands, through the dreamy locations of Italy, to French painting in the mid-19th century. Besides the styles and eras with numerous masterpieces, the exhibition allows the discovery of small formats and miniatures, as well as a spectacular room dedicated to the acquisitions of Pescatore, donor and benefactor of the City, during the auction of works once owned by King William II of the Netherlands in 1850. This great variety of themes and artistic styles is echoed in an immersive video projection right at the beginning of the journey, which sets visitors in the atmosphere of the works they will discover during their walk through art.
