100% Mahler with Gustavo Gimeno

Gustav Mahler was a great thinker, a man in spiritual quest, somewhat haunted by death. Gustavo Gimeno reunites with the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg to address, through two monumental symphonic works, the great philosophical questions of existentialism and metaphysics. The depiction of funeral rites in Totenfeier invites us to question the meaning of death, while the flowers and birdsong paint a beautiful picture of the earth in all its splendor before the final farewell in The Song of the Earth.
