Joshua Idehen

Joshua Idehen is a British-born Nigerian spoken word artist and musician based in Sweden. He has contributed to two Mercury Prize-shortlisted albums: "Channel The Spirits" by London band The Comet Is Coming (2016) and "Your Queen Is A Reptile" by British band Sons of Kemet (2018). In 2021, he collaborated with Daedelus on the critically acclaimed album "Holy Water Over Sons". In March 2026, Idehen released "I Know You’re Hurting, Everyone Is Hurting, Everyone Is Trying, You Have Got To Try", made with his creative partner Ludvig Parment. The album, both urgent and transcendent, explores grief and euphoria and serves as a manifesto for hope and solidarity. Opening act: Napoleon Gold. Bewitching arrangements, warm low-pitched vocal samples, and lively percussion create his ambient electronic tracks. Live performances bring even more intensity, blending electronic sounds, guitar, piano, percussion, and improvisation. Each show is unique.
