This concert pays tribute to Clara Schumann. Conductor David Reiland leads "Clara" by Gabriela Ortiz, a portrait by the renowned Mexican composer in honor of her colleague, whom she describes as a wonderful composer and one of the most important pianists of the 19th century. In Robert Schumann's Symphony No. 4, Clara is omnipresent, with the anagram of her name running through the work. It is also said that Johannes Brahms revealed his hidden passion for her in his music, particularly in the slow movement of his Piano Concerto No. 2. Geoffroy Couteau performs this majestic masterpiece.
