Midi de l'Art: Biro Kim & Bogyeong Choi - Resonance

Two outstanding students of Professor Park NungSaeng's fine arts master's are in residency at ArtsKoCo. The theme "RESONANCE", proposed by Bogyeong Choi, includes both of their artistic approaches. Biro Kim presents "The reflection of one in the other", thus creating a true resonance. Bogyeong is inspired by the suffering she experienced, shared with an elephant wounded by its mahout during a stay in Thailand. In her works, the elephant now replaces the 19th-century Korean scholar; the scholar himself blends into the landscape. Biro Kim is fascinated by the forest, its shadows and reflections, whether still or animated by the waves.
