Since May 5, 2017, the Lëtzebuerg City Museum has been presenting its completely redesigned permanent exhibition, entitled The Luxembourg Story. On three lower levels of the museum and in a space dedicated to current urban planning, the exhibition tells the story of the city of Luxembourg from the 10th century to the present day. The exhibition is organized into four major periods and 17 themes, highlighting the key historical aspects of each era. Visitors will discover objects, films, sound documents, photos, and multimedia applications. The "Perspectives for the future" section is dedicated to urban space organization, with a large 3D model and an interactive table. More than 500 original objects and interactive devices provide in-depth information. The visit is accompanied by multimedia animations on the urban models highlighting the key moments in the city's history.
