With its program Scéalta na Mara, Ionnda tells these "stories of the sea" and sings a repertoire that, both in melodies and lyrics, touches and moves the heart. Often stories of women, bearing witness to the great History that has sometimes been silenced or forgotten, stories of wars, forced departures, and immigration. Through legends, fantastic tales, as well as songs of work or celebration, Ionnda presents an intimate and contrasting concert, performing traditional and popular music inspired by those who have carried and passed it on before them.
