The course, led by Becky Ray, will teach you how to thread the machine, wind a bobbin, use the different machine feet (zipper foot, button foot, etc.), and understand the difference between straight stitch, zig-zag stitch, stitch lengths and widths, and their uses. It will also cover machine maintenance. Participants will make items such as a drawstring bag, an envelope cushion cover, a zipped pouch, a basic elastic waistband skirt, and learn how to sew a buttonhole. The course is held in English.
