As part of the Été Insolite, organized by the Communauté de Communes Mad & Moselle, discover an exhibition dedicated to Georges Durand, a key figure in the history of Thiaucourt. Through a talk illustrated by many unpublished archives, period photos, objects, official documents and authentic testimonies, discover the extraordinary life of this entrepreneur. Georges Durand, a First World War veteran, turned a farm purchased in 1935 into one of the most important dairy companies in Lorraine. His life was also marked by World War II, his deportation, and his unexpected return after 39 months in captivity. You will also be able to preview the manuscript of the book "Georges Durand – Le destin d'un bâtisseur lorrain", which is currently in progress. An exhibition and conference combining local history, memory, and heritage.
