Painting Nature in Watercolor
This course is intended for anyone wishing to discover or deepen their watercolor practice, regardless of their level. More than a technical learning experience, it invites you to observe, feel, and create with pleasure and freedom. Inspired by nature and the living world, the course explores landscapes, floral motifs, poetic compositions, and observation journals. Participants will discover the qualities unique to watercolor – transparency, fluidity, spontaneity, and play of light – while gradually developing their own artistic language. On the agenda: sketches, landscapes, flowers and plants, working with shapes, colors and textures, decorative compositions, experimenting with water effects, and creating personal projects. Participants will learn to master essential watercolor techniques, compose an image, use layering and transparency effects, interpret nature with sensitivity, and develop their creativity. Particular attention will be given to experimentation, the joy of painting, and individual support so that everyone can progress at their own pace and gradually build their own style. Materials to bring: watercolors, watercolor paper (various weights and textures), assorted brushes, graphite pencil for sketches, palette, and water containers. Fine markers or ink (optional).
