Print Freedom – DIY Drop-in Engraving Workshop

What does freedom represent to you? Echoing the project "What’s the Sound of Freilibre / Freelivre / Libera Livre?", developed in the framework of the exhibition "état bruit", as well as the exhibition by the artist Julia Believa, this workshop invites participants to translate their own vision of freedom into images. Using a DIY engraving technique on recycled Tetra Pak and a pasta press repurposed as a printing press, each participant creates a small engraved matrix representing a word, a symbol, a shape, or an emotion associated with freedom. The prints are then manually pulled. Each participant leaves with their printed card and can contribute to a collective work by sharing a copy of their creation. Thus, as the workshop unfolds, a mosaic of personal images and narratives around the notion of freedom comes together.
