The story of a great celebration in which Jacques Tati brings together spectators, artists, clowns, children and himself. Throughout the film, adults and young people form one enthusiastic group united by the show. From the start, a little girl and a little boy symbolise, in a single exchanged glance, the joy of being together. The audience participates directly in the show, which combines music hall and circus, while Jacques Tati, as ringmaster, directs and hosts the performance.
