Catherine Bourdieu, lecturer in Art History at the University of Lorraine, will present Francisco de Zurbaran, a painter active at court and commissioned by religious orders and private clients. The conference, entitled “Austerity, Elegance and Spirituality in 17th-Century Spanish Painting”, will explore his work on line, lighting and colour.
