“Visual Trace” is a collaborative research project by Irina Moons and Norma Márquez Orozco exploring how places shape artistic perception and creative processes. During their residency at neimënster, the artists will investigate the site’s history and cultural heritage through observation, walking, photography, drawing, conversations and artistic experimentation. They explore how architecture, memory and lived experience influence artistic creation. The residency builds on research developed through workshops and exhibitions at Instituto Allende in Mexico. Norma Márquez Orozco is a mixed-media artist whose work explores time, memory and perception through layered paper constructions and experimental photography. Irina Moons is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice combines printmaking, drawing and collaborative processes.
