Poetry of Growth

With The Poetry of Growth, Yanis Miltgen transforms the MOB-ART studio space into a sculptural garden where nature, reconstructed through thread, becomes a carrier of stories. The exhibition brings together around ten works, from sculptural installations to more intimate formats, and offers an overview of the research developed by the artist in recent years around art embroidery, knitting, crochet and sculpture. Roses, poppies, cherry blossoms, mimosas and other plant species appear, disappear and echo one another along the route. Some works evoke a territory, others a memory, a season, an emotion or a reflection on the fragility of living things. Yet they all share the same principle: reconstructing nature by hand in an attempt to retain something of it. Hundreds of hours of work and several thousand textile elements come together in the exhibition. Each flower is made individually before being assembled onto flexible structures that allow the works to unfold freely in space.
