Dive into the world of the Zodiaque publishing house, where Romanesque art, photography and spirituality come together. Founded at the Sainte-Marie de la Pierre-qui-Vire Abbey in 1951, the Zodiaque publishing house played a major role in the rediscovery of Romanesque art during the second half of the 20th century. Originally designed to guide visitors through Romanesque churches and sites, these books place photography at the heart of their approach. From the use of light to the choice of viewpoints, the visual presentation enhances the spiritual dimension of these buildings, contributing to an ideal vision of Romanesque architecture. A monk and an artist, Dom Angelico Surchamp was the true creative force behind the project.
