Musical Matinée - a magical moment combining art and music

For each Musical Matinée, Villa Vauban invites musicians to select works of art from the permanent exhibition. They then associate each painting with a piece of music which, in the musicians’ opinion, matches its atmosphere or story. During the concert, the paintings are projected while the music resonates in the room. After each piece, a museum guide tells you the story of the work: the artist, the period, the secrets of the image, etc. A wonderful opportunity to discover art in a different way, by listening, looking… and dreaming.
