Atefeh Majidi Nezhad | Revision: Zero-G Columns

In this installation, Atefeh Majidi Nezhad reinterprets the monumental columns of the shabestan of Isfahan’s Jameh Mosque and the Taj al-Molk dome as transparent, suspended presences. The work consists of twenty-eight columns painted in ink on fine mesh fabric and suspended by almost invisible threads. By transforming heavy architectural forms into fragile, floating structures, the installation explores systems of power, memory, vulnerability and transformation.
