In a hospital in Naples, a baby girl with Down syndrome is abandoned at birth. A nurse gives her an identity: she will be called Alba. Luca lives with Lorenzo and they wish to start a family, but their adoption applications are unsuccessful. As a volunteer with an organisation supporting people with disabilities, Luca learns about Alba, whom no one wants to adopt. He volunteers to take her in, against Lorenzo’s wishes. Inspired by the true story of Luca Trapanese, the first single gay man in Italy to adopt a little girl.
