Carlo and Paolo have been friends since their youth. Carlo, a university professor and novelist, is married to Elisa, a renowned journalist, while Paolo runs a restaurant with Anna, with whom he has a thirteen-year-old daughter, Vittoria. The two couples, weary of routine, spend a week in Tangier. There, they repeatedly encounter Blu, a young waitress, until Carlo reveals that she is also his student.
