Musical theater inspired by themes from a Norwegian folk tale by Peter Christen Asbjørnsen and Jørgen Moe. The King of the Polar Bears, Valemon, asks Count Erik for the hand of his daughter, Ragna. Erik refuses, but Ragna consents, having dreamed of Valemon and knowing that his heart overflows with love. She then follows the bear to his castle, where he reveals a secret: at night, he becomes a man but can only be with her in darkness, never showing himself. Ragna promises not to question this condition. Their happiness is great until the arrival of a letter from Ragna's mother announcing that Valemon would be a malevolent troll. Ragna observes her sleeping husband, causing him to wake. In a moment of dread, he must return to the realm of the troll queen who cursed him. Ragna vows to rescue him. An enchanting and captivating musical theater piece about love, bravery, and self-confidence.
