The travelling exhibition in French and German, presented from March 8 to September 15 at the National Museum in Esch-sur-Alzette, explores the life paths and experiences of approximately 7,000 women deported from France and Luxembourg to the Ravensbrück concentration camp as part of political repression. It highlights the diversity of social and national origins of these women and shows how resistance and persecution were influenced by traditional gender roles. The exhibit narrates the various facets of resistance, detention, and survival through selected biographies.
Good to know
Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, closed on Mondays. The exhibition is presented in French and German.
