The travelling exhibition, presented in French and German, takes place from March 8 to September 15 at the National Museum in Esch-sur-Alzette. It explores the lives and experiences of approximately 7,000 women deported from France and Luxembourg to the Ravensbrück concentration camp as part of politically motivated repression. The exhibition highlights the diversity of social and national origins of these women and demonstrates how resistance and persecution were influenced by traditional gender roles. Various aspects of resistance, detention, and survival are depicted through selected biographies.
