The novel "Zwei Herren am Strand" by Michael Köhlmeier captivated critics and readers upon its release in 2014. Charlie Chaplin and Winston Churchill meet on a beach and find connections amidst the waves, personal hardships, and the disasters of the 20th century. They agree to a pact against the "black dog": whenever one is about to fall into despair, they can call upon the other for support. The late Frank Feitler, former director of the Théâtre de la Ville, contributed to this project until shortly before his passing. Director Ivan Panteleev captures the essence of this delicate and touching book, presenting a unique stage for the renowned duo Luc Feit and Steve Karier.
