Vu Lilien a Linnen. Jugendstil, Handwierk a Konscht zu Lëtzebuerg
- exhibition
Art Nouveau emerged as a new form of expression, drawing inspiration from nature while reflecting its era and modernity. Bringing beauty into everyday life and revitalizing traditional crafts were seen as the starting points for a better world. These questions also inspired Luxembourg, where the Art Nouveau period coincided with the creation of an artists' association in 1893 and of the State Artisans School in 1896, training both artists and art craftsmen. Through fascinating and innovative works mostly from applied arts, never-before-exhibited preparatory drawings, and historical photographs, the exhibition explores the Art Nouveau era in Luxembourg in depth for the first time.
