Avant-garde choreographer trained in classical dance, Forsythe has been pushing the boundaries of ballet for decades, relentlessly reinventing the very writing of movement. The deployment of the body in space becomes for him the raw material of a research in which the notion of imbalance constantly challenges gravity. 'Additive Inverse', a piece created in 2007, immerses the Studio in a thick fog at the center of which luminous circles emerge. Their presence depends solely on the careful movement of visitors, with the density of their occupation of the space subtly influencing the drawing of interlaced circles.
