Specially created for the museum as part of the Women in Conflict historical and artistic exhibition series, the WOMEN IN WAR by LYNSEY ADDARIO exhibition offers a female perspective on the realities of war experienced by women and children. This retrospective provides an immersive journey into more than twenty years of work by American photojournalist Lynsey Addario. Through a selection of powerful images, visitors travel through war-torn territories such as Afghanistan, South Sudan, Iraq, Libya, Syria and Ukraine. The exhibition highlights key themes for the photographer: the condition of women in wartime, motherhood in conflict zones, survival, dignity and resilience in the face of destruction, violence and death.
