Under the title "Make it Short – Maach et Kuerz", six short films by Andy Bausch will be presented as a retrospective in cinemas, provincial cinemas, and cultural centers across Luxembourg. The event features the premiere of Andy Bausch's latest short film, "The Butcher", based on a treatment by the late Luxembourg screenwriter Cedric Kieffer. The 82-minute program, organized with partners such as Cinemathèque, Kinepolis, and Cinextdoor, will be accessible to a wide audience at various venues. The short films are quirky, humorous, and very cinematic. After each screening, there will be a public discussion with the director and several actors who have worked with Bausch. The films, shot between 1984 and 2024, highlight both artistic development and recurring themes of Bausch's work. Most films are in Luxembourgish, one in German, and one nearly without dialogue, all with English subtitles.
