Pari are female creatures from Persian mythology, similar to fairies. Winged beings of exceptional beauty, they possess supernatural powers and master the art of metamorphosis. Initially associated with dark forces, they have gradually become luminous figures in Persian folklore. Pari-Banu is one of these beings. In Western modern imagination, she has often been reduced to the role of a passive beauty in need of rescue, but in this performance she regains the fullness and power of her ancient nature. Created from the meeting of artists from diverse backgrounds, Pari-Banu is a show combining music, dance, and video in a lively and ever-evolving form. Between writing and improvisation, boundaries dissolve, giving way to a space for sharing shaped by cultures, memories, and imagination. The performance pays tribute to the invisible strength of women in stories and contemporary societies, also echoing the Zan, Zendegi, Azadi (Woman, Life, Freedom) movement.
