From the 18th to the 20th century, the de Wendel family played a central role in the Fensch Valley. On this original guided tour, you will meet François de Wendel, an emblematic member of this dynasty. In 1948, he opens the doors to his history and recounts, through his memories, the story of his family, his companies and this valley shaped by iron. Anecdotes, memories and historical events reveal the people and decisions that marked the history of Lorraine’s mines and steel industry.
