In a village in northern Spain, Jeanne tries to rebuild her life with Daniel, who knows nothing about her troubled past. When Mateo, her six-year-old godson, mysteriously disappears, the police quickly suspect her. Jeanne then flees to France, to the community where she was born and which she had left years earlier. Daniel refuses to believe she is guilty and tries to find her before the police do.
