Guided tour photo exhibition: WOMEN IN WAR by LYNSEY ADDARIO @Museum, Esch/Alzette
Created especially for the museum as part of the Women in Conflict series, the WOMEN IN WAR exhibition highlights, from a female perspective, the fate of women and children in war zones.
This retrospective presents over twenty years of work by American photojournalist Lynsey Addario through a selection of powerful images. Visitors are invited to discover territories and populations affected by conflicts in Afghanistan, South Sudan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, and Ukraine. The exhibition explores themes dear to the artist: the status of women in wartime, motherhood in conflict zones, survival in crisis regions, as well as dignity and resilience in the face of destruction, violence, and death.
