Guided tour of the permanent exhibition – 2:30 PM - @Museum – Esch/Alzette

From the beginning of the tour, at the entrance to the main hall, the public discovers the new exhibition, which combines printed texts, documents and objects in display cases, mechanical devices, recordings, films, projections, infographics, and interactive screens. This mix of media ensures all audiences are catered for. To complement the visit and give a voice to those who lived through this difficult period, audio testimonies accompany the panels of the historical exhibition. These can be accessed via QR codes with a smartphone. Two timelines, located on the ground floor and the first floor, allow visitors to delve deeper into the details of history. Visitors can also learn about the lives of directly involved men and women through short biographies presented in biographical niches in the main hall. 11 niches recount the stories of 28 historical figures and 16 current Luxembourg residents, sharing their experiences as victims, civilians, or actors in this history.
