From the start of the exhibition, at the entrance to the main hall, visitors discover the new exhibition composed of printed texts, documents and objects in display cases, mechanical devices, recordings, films, projections, infographics and interactive screens. This variety of media ensures that all audiences are catered for. To complement the presentation and give a voice to those who experienced this difficult period, each panel of the historical exhibition is accompanied by audio testimonies accessible via QR codes on smartphones. Although the exhibition mainly adopts a thematic approach, two timelines on the ground floor and on the first floor allow interested visitors to delve deeper into the historical details. To illustrate the story with real people, visitors can discover, through short biographies, the men and women directly involved. The main hall also features "biographical niches" where 28 historical figures and 16 current residents of Luxembourg share stories of their lives as victims, civilians or actors.
