Upon entering the main hall, visitors discover the new exhibition, which is composed of printed texts, documents and objects in display cases, mechanical devices, audio recordings, films, projections, infographics and interactive screens. This mix of media allows everyone to explore the exhibition according to their interests. To give a voice to those who lived through this difficult period, audio testimonials are included alongside each panel of the historical exhibition. These can be accessed using a smartphone via QR codes. Although the main approach is thematic, timelines on the ground floor and first floor invite visitors to delve into additional details. Short biographies present men and women who were directly involved, to be discovered in the main hall before or after the historical tour. In 11 niches, 28 historical figures and 16 current inhabitants of Luxembourg recount their lives as victims, civilians or actors.
