In a village in northern Spain, Jeanne is trying to rebuild her life with Daniel, who knows nothing of her troubled past. When Mateo, her six-year-old godson, mysteriously disappears, she quickly becomes a suspect in the police investigation. Jeanne then takes refuge in France, in the community where she was born and which she had fled. Daniel tries to find her before the police do.
